Audiovisual Dance Party

Every year in downtown Burlington, Vermont, there is a local arts festival called Art Hop. For the 2022 iteration, I created an interactive dance party installation. I used the Kinect sensor to capture people's silhouettes as they walked through the festival, adding visual effects in TouchDesigner with feedback and reaction diffusion techniques.

This was definitely one of the most fun experiences I've had doing visuals. I loved watching people walk by, notice themselves on the wall, then get excited and bust a move. Thanks to the Art Hop team for setting this up!
